Check the payment environment shown at checkout. Live payments transfer real money. Sandbox payments use test accounts, transfer no real money, and have separate standings.
Terms of Use
Effective date: October 2, 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Who we are
Fan Vote is operated by InstantBook LLC, Florida, United States (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Contact us at brady.bishop@instant-book.net. These Terms govern your use of Fan Vote and contributions through the website.
2. What your contribution supports
Fan Vote lets supporters add votes to a selected college’s standings while supporting the operator’s businesses, InstantBook and RepSolo. Your contribution goes to the operator, not the selected school. It is not a charitable donation, tuition payment, investment, or purchase of an ownership interest. We do not offer charitable tax receipts.
School names and identifying marks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance identifies the school selected by a supporter and does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.
3. Eligibility and competition rules
There are currently no prizes, rewards, or scheduled competition end date. Votes represent fan support only and have no cash or redemption value.
Participation is available wherever lawful and supported by our payment provider; we do not impose a US-only residency requirement. To make a payment, you must be an adult under the laws where you live, legally able to enter this agreement, and authorized to use the payment account you provide. A minor may have a parent or legal guardian make a contribution using the adult’s own payment account and information. Children under 13 must not submit personal information directly to Fan Vote. You must comply with PayPal’s applicable terms.
4. Payments and votes
Checkout accepts whole-dollar contributions in US dollars from $1 to $1,000 per payment. Each whole US dollar successfully paid adds one vote to the school selected at checkout, before payment-processing fees. Repeat contributions are allowed. Check your school and amount before paying.
Votes appear only after we verify PayPal’s payment notification. A return to this site, a pending payment, or a checkout confirmation screen alone does not award votes. Verification and standings updates can take time; contact us before repeating a payment that appears delayed.
Schools are ordered by their verified vote totals. Ties are ordered alphabetically by the school’s URL identifier (slug). Schools with zero votes are unranked. Supporter counts represent distinct PayPal payer identifiers with positive remaining votes for a school; they are not a verified count of individual people.
Sandbox payments transfer no real money and do not entitle you to votes in a live competition.
5. Final contributions; returned payments
All contributions are final. We do not offer voluntary refunds. Exceptions apply where required by applicable law or PayPal. This policy does not limit any nonwaivable consumer rights or available PayPal dispute rights. Contact us promptly about an unauthorized, duplicate, or incorrectly processed payment.
If funds are refunded or reversed, the corresponding votes are reduced. A partial refund leaves one vote for each whole dollar remaining; a full refund or reversal leaves zero votes. Supporter counts and recent activity may change accordingly.
6. Display names and privacy
Contributions below $5 appear as “Anonymous.” For contributions of $5 or more, you may choose a public display name or remain publicly anonymous. A displayed contribution can reveal your chosen name, school, remaining votes, and contribution time. Public anonymity does not prevent us or PayPal from processing payment-related identity information. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
Do not submit names that impersonate someone, expose another person’s private information, infringe rights, or contain unlawful or abusive content. You give us permission to display your chosen name in connection with your contribution. We may hide or replace inappropriate names with “Anonymous.”
7. Acceptable use and corrections
Do not use unauthorized payment methods, interfere with the service, bypass security or rate limits, submit fraudulent transactions, or attempt to manipulate standings. We may restrict access to protect the service and investigate abuse. We may correct technical or accounting errors so standings reflect verified payments and returned funds.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to maintain accurate standings, but outages, delays, and errors can occur. We do not promise uninterrupted access, a particular school’s ranking, or indefinite operation. We may change or discontinue features and will provide reasonable notice of material changes when practicable. Changes do not eliminate payment remedies required by law or PayPal.
We will post updated Terms with an effective date and give notice of material changes through the site or another appropriate channel. Changes apply prospectively; they do not retroactively remove rights relating to earlier payments.
9. Responsibility and disputes
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available, without a guarantee of a particular outcome. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve an issue. These Terms do not require mandatory arbitration or waive class-action rights. Florida law governs these Terms to the extent permitted by law, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections or courts available under the laws where you live.
